Your warm heart can warm a home. Many of our state’s most vulnerable – low-income families and seniors, the working poor — could be left in the cold this winter, struggling to pay their energy bills.Together, we can make a difference. That’s what the Week of Warmth is all about — offering support, inspiration and help to those in need.DTE Energy and The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) are teaming up with other community-minded businesses and individuals to take action. Our goal is to privately raise funds and distribute more than one million dollars to fill the gap left by drastic cuts to state and federal assistance programs. Each year THAW assists approximately 15,000 households and helps keep more than 20,000 children safe and warm but there are many that could be facing a long, cold winter. Please consider making a donation to support this worthy cause.
